Warren Dunes State Park



With almost 2,000 acres of gorgeous wilderness along Lake Michigan, Warren Dunes State Park offers tons of recreational opportunities. This area was carved out by glaciers many years ago and what remains is Mother Nature's playground! Check out this magical area and play in the giant sandbox!

About The Park


Warren Dunes State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks in the state of Michigan! Huge dunes stand 240 feet tall and are great for exploring. Located in southwest Michigan, it spans 3 miles of Lake Michigan’s shoreline! The hills throughout the rest of the park are covered in oak and hickory trees, which give great shade in the summer and create a beautiful sight as they change color in the fall. While you’re here you can enjoy the beach house, playground, concessions, and the store!

Beach
With over 3 miles of shoreline, the beach at Warren Dunes State Park is a great place to spend a warm summer day. You can relax and soak up some sun, get in a great game of Frisbee, watch the sunset, or build a sandcastle! If you're traveling with your furry companion, you'll appreciate the 2 miles of this beach that are pet friendly! You can run and splash in the water together!

Hiking
With 6 miles of trails that wind all over Warren Dunes State Park, you can hike all day long! This intricate trail system includes 9 trails linked together to offer stunning views of the dunes and beach! In the winter you can hit the trails for cross-country skiing! Get some great exercise in one of the most beautiful places in the state!

Hang Gliding
The huge dunes at Warren Dunes State Park offer the perfect place for hang gliding! Contact Warren Hang Gliding to book your adventure! Soaring around the beach will give you a view like no other. And don’t worry, they pair you up with an experienced professional so all you have to do is enjoy the ride.

Two campgrounds can be found at Warren Dunes State Park. One is a modern site, and one is semi modern. The modern site offers full hookups and pull-through sites for RVers, and modern restrooms with showers for everyone. The semi-modern site offers picnic tables and fire rings, but no hookups or modern toilets. You'll find only vault toilets here.

Weko Beach Campground
Just north of Warren Dunes State Park is Weko Beach Campground. Here you can find modern and semi-modern campsites and cabins. They have modern restrooms with showers, a playground, and a dump station. If you get hungry, visit their concession stand and then take a walk on the boardwalk.

Kamp Across From the Dunes
Located just across from Warren Dunes State Park is Kamp Across From the Dunes. This is an RV park where you can find sites with full hook ups, modern restrooms, and showers. This campground is pet friendly so you don’t have to leave your pets at home!

In the Area


Around the Sawyer area there are a few different things that will keep you busy! Driving along the Lake Michigan coast is always a favorite. And if you’re here in the fall, you can go on an amazing color tour to see the trees showing off their gorgeous hues!

Captain Mike’s Fun Park
Great for family fun, Captain Mike’s Fun Park will keep you occupied for hours! With go-karts, bumper cars, and bumper boats, you'll be whipping around the park like a pro! Then take in a game of mini golf or hit the batting cages. Looking for something to cool you off? Jump behind a water cannon or launch water balloons at each other! A good time is guaranteed for all!

Greenbush Brewing Company
Enjoy some great local brews at Greenbush Brewing Company. With more than 45 different beers to choose from, you should be able to find something that whets your whistle. They also offer a large menu that offers something for everyone.
